I’m a little confused as to what we are supposed to mean by good branding? Does that mean that the product itsself makes you think of a good product, like the qualitity of all of the products in the same brand line is good? Or is it that you can look at this product and tell what brand it is without it saying anything on it? And are all the product families easily distinguished? Like how Publix brand products are all labeled completely white with only a small pic of whatever is inside of the packaging on it. Those products are all cheaper than normal products. Is that a good brand example? Or would Bic be good or bad… all the products look similar with the blocky style that they are shaped and they look cheap… so since they are a crappy product but everyone can distinguish it does that make it good or bad?

A brand is absolutely successful if you can recognize it without a logo etc.
Just because a ‘product’ is crappy, doesn’t mean the brand is crappy, take McDonalds for example. They have it together to a large extent, it doesn’t matter that their food is ruining america and beyond!
